Position Overview: As a Code Sensei at Code Ninjas Arundel Mills, you will be instrumental in mentoring and guiding young learners (Ninjas) through our interactive coding curriculum. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and education, aiming to inspire the next generation of tech enthusiasts and developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and supervise coding sessions with children ages 5-15, ensuring a fun and engaging learning experience.
- Help Ninjas work through the Code Ninjas curriculum, which includes game building and coding in various programming languages.
- Monitor and assess the progress of Ninjas, providing personalized feedback and support.
- Maintain a positive and encouraging environment, fostering teamwork and creativity among Ninjas.
- Collaborate with fellow Senseis to plan and execute center events and special projects.
- Manage classroom logistics and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and C#.
- Previous experience working with children in a teaching or mentoring capacity is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Passionate about technology and education.
