Entry Level Water Resources Engineer

SuYash Consulting, LLC (SuYash) is actively seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Engineer to work in our Columbia, MD Office. The Entry Level Water Resources Engineer will serve in a technical role under the direction of a project engineer and/or project manager for a wide array of planning and design services. Design work will include concept and final designs for drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, cost estimation, preparation of specifications and technical plans, create and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models, and prepare technical reports for transportation and environmental projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering
- 0 – 2 years of experience; Relevant internship experience preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or the ability to obtain within a year
- Proficiency in MS Office software
- Knowledge of CADD software such as MicroStation preferred
- GIS experience preferred
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling programs and techniques including TR-20, TR-55, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, ABSCOUR, HEC-18 and HY-8 a plus
- Strong technical and professional communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
- Participate in field work as needed
